Prince Charles unveiled the memorial in Hyde Park: 52 steel pillars to commemorate each one of the victims

In addition to the heir to the British crown, numerous government officials attended and stood alongside victims and their families on this tragic anniversary. In his speech, Prince Charles praised the work of emergency service personnel in the days following the attacks, as well as all those who have aided victims ever since. The event, organised by the 7 July Assistance Centre, was profoundly moving, with victims and family members placing flowers on a plaque listing the names of those killed.
