Last Tuesday the English town of Warrington received “The Voice of the Victims”, an event in which the protagonists shared their experiences and opinions with those attending.
Voices from the U.K., Italy and Spain listened to each other at the “Peace Centre”, the headquarters of “The Tim Parry & Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace”, the association hosting the event.
This first encounter, of those programmed by the European Network to be held in different European cities, circled around the theme of the victims of terrorism’s “Empowerment & Contribution to Society”. Amongst those speaking were people that had been affected by the terrorist attacks of 7J, 11M, the IRA or ETA. Both during the talks as well as in the roundtables held thereafter, the audience was able to share in the protagonists’ experiences and points of view directly, in an enriching day of workshops
