More than 10 victims of terrorism from France, Spain, UK, Italy and Algeria share, in the Foreign Press Center (CAPE), their experiences and demands.
Guillaume Denoix de Saint Marc, AfVT president, welcomed the presence of the assembled media and served as a bridge between reporters and the victims. Catherine Vannier, who lost her daughter in the attacks in Cairo, was the first to speak. During her speech was accompanied by Mélanie Berthouloux, friend of the deceased and victims of the attack.
The Spanish Angeles Pedraza, Vice President of AVT, answered questions from reporters and, among other things, has shared his views on the March 11 bombings in Madrid, and recalled her daughter Miriam, who was murdered in one of the bombed trains. The testimony of France’s Nathalie Fustier preceded that of the special guest, John Frank Pinchao Blanco who was kidnapped 8 years in the jungle by the FARC terrorists. Michael Gallagher, Cherifa Kheddar, Pamela White and Danièle Klein also took the floor to be made available to the media and answer all questions. The Italian Giorgio Bazzega denounced in his speech, the current situation of so-called cases “Petrella” and “Batisti, the Red Brigades terrorists. The event was closed by the French Nicole Guiraud who was seriously injured in Algeria on 30 September 1956.
Many of the victims audience showed their joy at the reunion, as in previous events of the Network has served to continue the exchange of views and further work and experiences. The French Association of Victims of Terrorism, as representative of NAVTA in France, has successfully carried out the Voice of the Victims’ home after visits to other European cities
